Marks

It takes 3-5 business days for a unit or assignment to be marked after it has been assigned to a teacher for marking. This does not include the day of submission, weekends, or holidays.

As your work is marked, you will receive a notification in Brightspace. Please check Brightspace regularly.

You can view all returned work, marks, and feedback under “Assignments” on the navigation bar. You can also view the mark and feedback under “Grades” in the navigation bar.

To initiate the grade appeal process, begin by carefully re-reading the assignment instructions and rubric, your submission, and your teacher’s feedback. You must wait for the mark appeal resolution before moving forward and submitting the next assignment. Students who submit the next assessment for grading with a mark appeal in progress, will waive resolution of their submitted appeal. Students who request transcripts or Midterm Reports with a mark appeal in progress, will waive resolution of their submitted appeal.

Students who write a Final Test with a mark appeal in progress, will waive resolution of their submitted appeal on the final assessment for grading/culminating activity. Students who request Transcripts or Midterm Reports with a mark appeal in progress, will waive resolution of their submitted appeal.

Only the student enrolled in the course may submit a mark appeal. Appeals will not be accepted from parents, guardians, or representatives on the student’s behalf.

As per Assessment, Evaluation and Reporting policy located in Brightspace learning platform, once an appeal has been approved and processed, the decision will be final and there will be no further appeal on the same assessment.
