After The Final Test FAQ

TVO ILC is developing a process for automatically providing feedback on failed final tests. Until this feature is available, please contact [email protected] to address your questions. 

Your final test will be evaluated within three to five business days after it has been received by TVO ILC. Once your final test mark is entered into the system, your course grade will be calculated. If you pass the course, you will receive an email from us with the good news and can log in to the TVO ILC Portal to see your grade for the final test and the overall course

If you fail the final test, your course mark will be calculated using the weightings for each assessment, the culminating activity (if applicable) and the final test. Final test weightings can range from 10% to 30% of the final course mark. Please consult the Grades tab in Brightspace for the final test weighting of your course.    If your final course mark is equal

TVO ILC students cannot rewrite a final test.

If you successfully earn the course credit, you can view your Final Test mark and course mark in the Completed Courses section on your TVO ILC Portal Dashboard.

The final mark in your course is determined by two components: the unit/assessments for grading which are worth 70% of your final mark (course work); and the final test and culminating activity (where applicable) which are worth 30% of your final mark. Due to precautions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, transcripts are only being issued directly to post-secondary and other institutions (not directly to students).  If you enrolled in a TVO ILC course through another learning organization, you may ask your facilitator to request your transcript, as you will not see a “Request Documents” tab in the TVO ILC Portal.   If you enrolled directly with TVO ILC, you should see a “Request Documents” tab in your TVO ILC Portal.
